Korea Metal Week 2026 to Open October 28 at KINTEX

The three-day exhibition will run in Hall 3 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1. The organizer lists free pre-registration and a KRW 10,000 on-site admission fee.

Korea Metal Week 2026 will run from October 28 to 30 at KINTEX in Goyang, bringing metal components, processing technologies and manufacturing equipment into one exhibition for industrial buyers, according to organizer Korea Trade Fairs Ltd.

The event is scheduled for Hall 3 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1. An organizer announcement posted on October 1 identifies fasteners, casting, die-casting, automotive and machinery parts, metal cutting, laser and welding technologies, automation, 3D technologies and titanium among the sectors covered.

Components and production technologies on the same floor

The official exhibition overview also lists wire, tubes and pipes, metal plating and coating, tools, presses and forging, and control and measurement equipment. The range gives overseas buyers a way to plan visits around both a finished component and the processes used to make it.

For example, a fastener sourcing brief can be paired with questions about forming, surface treatment and inspection equipment. A casting brief can include discussions of tooling, process control and material requirements.

Seminars cover heat treatment, AI and die-casting

The organizer’s 2026 seminar schedule includes automotive technology sessions on October 28 and 29. The first day’s topics include steel materials and heat-treatment development for automotive transmissions and reduction gears, alongside wider heat-treatment trends.

An AI advanced-manufacturing technology exchange is listed for October 28, from 15:00 to 17:00 in Seminar Room B inside Hall 3. On October 29, the automotive program includes data- and AI-based smart forging and a session on detecting defects using sound and vibration data from heading and rolling processes.

A separate die-casting technical seminar on October 29 is marked as paid. Its published topics include productivity and quality stability, high-pressure casting process problems, semi-solid casting using a vacuum ladle, and aluminum supply-chain issues. Exhibition admission should therefore be checked separately from seminar access. The organizer says the seminar program may change.

What the program means for overseas buyers

KOD practical analysis: The combination of components and processing equipment makes a focused shortlist more useful than a general walk-through. Buyers can define the part, material, dimensions or tolerance questions they need answered, then identify relevant exhibitors through the organizer’s exhibitor directory.

Before arranging meetings, buyers should confirm which products will actually be displayed, whether an English-speaking representative will be available, and whether photography or sample collection is permitted.

A booth conversation can help identify the next technical questions. Use follow-up discussions to collect product specifications, test documentation and commercial terms, and arrange any required factory visit. Buyers planning additional local work can also review KOD’s guide to arranging on-site assistance in Korea.
